  • Denise McCann

    Denise Herr McCann has served as the  Executive Director at Centre Helps  since August 2021.  She brings her experiences in drug and alcohol prevention, risk and protective factors, and mentoring to Centre Helps where she enjoys grant writing, program development, and advocacy and education. She is a certified family recovery specialist and also serves as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, reviewing Runaway and Homeless Youth programs across the country. 

  • Natasha Smith

    Natasha Smith serves as the 988 Program Manager at Centre Helps, where she oversees the recruitment, training, and operations of the 988 Suicide Prevention Lifeline and Hotline program. Natasha graduated from Saint Francis University with a degree in Behavioral Science and minors in Social Work and Healthcare Management. With a strong background in behavioral health and crisis response and intervention, Natasha ensures that individuals in emotional distress have access to timely, compassionate, and effective support 24/7.

  • Karah Hughes

    Karah Hughes is the Administrative and Programs Coordinator at Centre Helps and oversees YOP, community service volunteers, and community outreach programs. She graduated from Penn State Schreyers Honors College in May of 2024 with a Bachelors in Political Science and has been with Centre Helps since October 2024.   • Joanna Switala

    Joanna Switala started with Centre Helps in July of 2024 as a Basic Needs Case Manager. She has worked on college affordability and student basic needs for the last four years before expanding into community basic needs. Joanna has a B.A. in Political Science and Religious Studies with a minor in Asian Studies, and a Masters of Public Administration from West Virginia University.

  • Bella Huber

    Bella Huber joined the Centre Helps team in December 2024 as a Basic Needs Case Manager. In this role, she works to provide critical support and advocacy for individuals and families navigating challenging circumstances. Bella graduated from Penn State University, where she earned her B.A. in Psychology. Through her background in substance misuse counseling, she specializes with clients seeking treatment for drug and alcohol misuse. Her empathic approach allows her to build connections with those seeking meaningful change, helping them access resources and empowering them to take steps toward long-term wellness.
